Craftsmanship and efficiency. Without compromise.
Too often, specifying joinery means making a trade-off: the bespoke detail and finish your project deserves, or the reliable lead times, accurate pricing and consistency a production shop can offer. At Reading Furniture & Joinery, you don’t have to choose. We pair genuine hand-crafted joinery with the systems, capacity and precision of a modern manufacturer — so builders and architects get both, on every job.
The best of both worlds
Craftsmanship in the detail
Hand-selected timbers, considered joinery methods and finishes chosen to hit your design intent. Every piece is built to spec, so what you draw is what gets installed.
Efficiency you can build around
Modern manufacturing capacity, reliable lead times and accurate pricing up front, so joinery stops holding up your program and your budget stays predictable.
Big ideas, real impact.
Here, creativity meets opportunity. Whatever you're building, we're here to help you take the first step with confidence. Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

Architects
We build to your detail, not around it. Reading Furniture & Joinery translates your drawings into bespoke joinery that holds its design intent, veneer matched and sequenced, reveals kept true, junctions resolved before anything is cut. You get shop drawings to review and sign off, so what leaves our Brookvale workshop is what you specified, and what your client sees is your design realised rather than compromised on site.
Builders
We turn up with the joinery drawn, built and ready to install — on the date we gave you. Every job runs on shop drawings signed off before we cut, an eight week lead time from approval, and one point of contact from quote to handover. Kitchens, wardrobes and full fitout packages, installed by our own team. No surprises on site, no dates we cannot hold.

Our Approach
Good joinery is decided long before it is cut.
Every project starts with full shop drawings for you to sign off before any material is ordered. Nothing goes to the machine on a verbal or an assumption. If scope changes, we document and price it there and then, not at handover.
Once drawings are signed, the sequence is fixed. Materials ordered, components cut and finished, cabinets built in parallel, nothing installed until it has passed a quality check in our workshop. Eight weeks from sign off, and we hold it.
One point of contact from quote to handover. The team that quotes the job draws it, builds it and installs it, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.
Draw it properly. Agree it in writing. Build it once. Install it clean.

We work with builders, architects and designers who care how the joinery is detailed, not just what it costs.
Builders who run a tight programme and want a subcontractor who hits the date and hands over a clean install. Architects and designers who have a specific vision and need it built to the detail, not interpreted around it. Clients who understand that bespoke work is drawn, agreed and made once, properly.
Our projects run $40k to $400k across kitchens, wardrobes, room dividers, feature joinery and full fitout packages. We take on four to eight projects a month, which keeps every job close to the workshop floor and lets us hold the standard on each one.
If that is how you work, we will fit the way you work.
